This news follows today's signing of the U.S.-Japan trade agreements in the Roosevelt Room at the White House. Trump was sealing those deals with Japan on the same week that US and Chinese trade negotiators are set to resume high-level trade talks. There is already a fair amount of scepticism surrounding the talks and the Yen could well find a bid on the back of a flight to safety, considering it is unlikely that intellectual property theft and forced technology transfers will be resolved this week.
