American equity markets pull back Tuesday (Barcelona) - The US Stock market experienced a lower opening across the board Tuesday after a widespread surge in equities yesterday. Earlier today, the US reported upbeat Housing Starts in October, which helped improve sentiment slightly. Beginning with the indices and composites, the NASDAQ lost -0.28% as it settles in region of 2902.20, down -8.09 points in these moments.

In addition, the S&P 500 is trading in negative territory, operating at 1382.32, declining 4.57 points or -0.35% at the time of writing. Finally, the Dow Jones has moved lower at the opening as well, trading in the zone of 12740.66, presently -0.43% after a descent of 55.60 points.

Sectors are all negative at the opening, however the Consumer Cyclical and Basic Materials sectors have distinguished themselves as the losers thus far, shedding -0.50% and -0.36% respectively. In other news, the price of crude has settled below USD $88.39 today, waning -1.00%.
