American equity markets open slightly positive Wednesday (Barcelona) - The US Stock market experienced a positive opening across the board Wednesday after the publication of upbeat US Jobs data, which reported that Jobless Claims have shrunk to 410,000. Beginning with the indices and composites, the NASDAQ gained +0.17% as it settles in region of 2921.56, up +4.88 points in these moments.

In addition, the S&P 500 is trading in positive territory, operating at 1388.53, advancing 0.72 points or +0.05% at the time of writing. Finally, the Dow Jones has moved higher at the opening as well, trading in the zone of 12789.24, presently +0.01% after an ascent of +0.73 points.

Sectors are all mixed at the opening, however the Energy and Technology sectors have distinguished themselves as the losers thus far, shedding -0.46% and -0.51% respectively. In other news, the price of crude has settled below USD $87.51 today, moving +0.88%.
