US: CPI rose 1.7% in December, below forecasts (Barcelona) - The Department of Labour has informed that US consumer prices rose 1.7% over the year through December, missing expectations at +1.8%. On a monthly basis, prices came in unchanged at 0.0%.

Core CPI, which strips food and energy costs, rose 1.9% over the last twelve months and 0.1% MoM. Both prints have matched November’s.
