American equity markets open negative Friday (Barcelona) - The US Stock market experienced a negative across the board Friday following yet another late plummet in equities, as concerns of the “fiscal cliff” mount in the aftermath of the US election. Beginning with the indices and composites, the NASDAQ lost -0.05% as it settles in region of 2894.22, down 1.58 points in these moments.

In addition, the S&P 500 is trading in negative territory, operating at 1375.44, falling 2.02 points or -0.15% at the time of writing. Finally, the Dow Jones has moved lower at the opening as well, trading in the zone of 12773.23, presently -0.30% after a descent of 38.09 points.

Sectors are a sea of red at the opening, however the Conglomerates and Financial sectors have distinguished itself as the losers thus far, falling +0.48% and +0.46% respectively. In other news, the price of crude has settled below USD $84.67 today, declining -0.49%.
