American equity markets open in the red (Barcelona) - The US Stock market edged lower Wednesday morning amidst recent developments in Spain and solid housing data in the United States. Beginning with the indices and composites, the NASDAQ has lost -0.33% as it settles in region of 3090.85, down 10.18 points in these moments.

In addition, the S&P 500 is also trading in negative territory, operating at 1454.61, falling 0.22 points down a marginal -0.02% at the time of writing. Finally, the Dow Jones has moved lower at the opening as well, operating in the zone of 13509.41, presently down -0.31% after a decent of 42.37 points.

Sectors are mostly mixed at the opening, however the Capital Goods and Basic Materials sectors have distinguished themselves as the winner thus far, rising +0.37% and 0.36% respectively. In other news, the price of crude has settled below USD $92.69 today, rising +0.65%.
