A. (29 September Europe) Latest Impact: Wachovia listing a fall down?
It is likely that Wachovia will soon cease to exist as an independent bank, and will be the 13th US banks to fail this year. More banks will fail within a pace that will take our breath away. In the next couple of weeks, between Oct. 1 and Oct. 15, we will very likely see the complete collapse of the U.S. banking system. Should the Bush/Paulson bailout package be passed, it would immediately destroy the value of the dollar. Should the bailout be rejected, the British banking system will collapse immediately, with the U.S. banks collapsing on its heels.
Markets will trade the wrong direction this morning as bailout decision regarding the $700billion is on the hook for approval, or not to be approved!
