USDJPY Comments:

  • Anna Coulling:

The dollar yen duly surged higher, as expected much to the relief of the bank of Japan. This bullish momentum should now follow through in this week's trading and in the longer term we can expect to see a test of the 84.18 high of March 2012.

  • Dr. S. Sivaraman:

swing and quick gain moves may be seen

  • ICN.com analysis team:

Our previous detected technical objective at 80.00 psychological level was reached after stabilizing above SMA 100. A break above 80.50-80.75 will ease the path toward 81.50 followed by 82.25 and 84.15 is our main target.

  • Ilian Yotov:

It would not be surprising to see the USD supported against the JPY ahead of the Bank of Japan meeting on October 30 on expectations of more QE by the Japanese central bank. But if history repeats itself, the USD could weaken in the aftermath of the announcement.

  • Yohay Elam:

The pair could stop for a short break. New Japanese QE supports the pair.
