USDJPY Comments:

  • Anna Coulling:

A break and hold through here should see a re-test of the April highs of 81.69 in the longer term.

  • ICN.com analysis team:

A break above 79.55 will confirm the bullih direction which became stronger after hitting SMA 100 for the first time since May, 22

  • Ilian Yotov:

It would not be surprising to see the USD supported against the JPY ahead of the Bank of Japan meeting on October 30 on expectations of more QE by the Japanese central bank.

  • Yohay Elam:

Threats of intervention and talk about additional monetary stimulus manage to weigh on the yen, although it is unclear how far it could go.
