Pair is in a bullish mode from 1.5800 where corrective decline from September highs finished. Pair should revisit 1.6300
As long as the Bank of England continues to sit on the QE sidelines, the GBP should remain as a viable alternative to other currencies whose central banks go full speed ahead with more easing.
For the time being, cable found its equilibrium. There is more pressure to the downside.

Cable's upwards momentum temporarily halted on negative comments from Standard & Poors. However, from a technical perspective cable still looks bullish and now looks set to test the resistance in the 1.62 price area and possibly even 1.6307 in due course.
