Realtime Quote Data
- Market data server transmits each tick from the data feed of the exchange and displays it in your charts, price pages and other documents.
- In addition to data updated in realtime you can also have a look at historical quote data. Draw conclusions about the current market activity by technically analyzing past prices series.
Charts
- Twelve different chart types are available: From classic charts like the line, bar and candlestick chart, to advanced methods like the point & figure chart, to more exotic display formats like Renko, Kagi or Heikin Ashi charts.
- Several compressions available: Daily, weekly and monthly charts as well as intraday charts (minute-based) or tick charts. The price scale can be set to absolute values, logarithmic or percentaged scales.
- Possibility to overlay several time series for comparison of different instruments.
Price Pages
- Price pages to get an overview of a multitude of instruments. Compile your own price pages and adapt them to your personal requirements with individual settings in order to identify the most important price changes at a glance: add colored update styles triggered on price changes, sort the list automatically by best performance, etc.
- Build a watch list by adding purchase dates and prices for your portfolio here and let the program automatically calculate profit and loss figures based on the current quotes.
- Export individual selection of data to a spreadsheet with the RTD or DDE interface: The data is updated there constantly and can be further edited by you.
Volume Weighted Average Price
- VWAP is a measure of the average price an instrument traded at over the trading horizon. Many retail traders can lose fortunes, before ever even hearing about VWAP .
- For institutional traders who are running order flow, VWAP is used as a major benchmark for those who seek passivity in order expectation. In other words, trading to VWAP is a way for institutional traders to either remain anonymous, or simply dollar cost average during the session.
News
- Latest news stories in realtime. Ability to filter news that are relevant to you. In order to never miss a price-moving event, you can set a news alert and get a notification on your screen, with an audio signal or as an e-mail whenever new stories arrive that match your criteria.
Technical Analysis
- Analysis tools can be moved between charts with drag & drop. With intersection alerts you can get a notification when for example the price crosses the line of an indicator.
- Several tools for technical analysis: trend lines, trend channels, support / resistance lines, Fibonacci retracements, Pivot Points etc.. You can also apply indicators to other indicators and so for example choose a Momentum indicator as the base for a Stochastics indicator. With Trader Bars and Trader Marks (candlestick pattern recognition), typical signals are shown directly on the chart.
Creating Your Own Indicators
- TeleTrader Professional lets you adapt the included indicators and makes it possible to program completely new studies. The Analysis Tools Editor offers you a graphical user interface to directly access the calculation methods of indicators, Trader Bars and Trader Marks.
- Over 150 indicators, Trader Bars and Trader Marks are already included. You can set the parameters or the appearance of an indicator on the intuitive graphical interface. Deeper changes can be made in the underlying calculation functions of an indicator.
Alerts and Signals
- Set alerts - time alert, news alert or intersection alert - that are automatically triggered under certain conditions (message, sound or e-mail). You can also trigger additional actions, for example print-out of one or more documents at a certain time.
Workspace and Virtual Pages
- SWith virtual pages and workspaces you can save different compositions and call them up anytime.
- Workspaces contain all documents added by you, including their exact position on the screen and all other settings. Multi monitor environments are supported too. When you open a saved workspace, the positioning on different monitors is restored in exactly the same way that you have set it up. Position your documents on up to twenty virtual screen pages and enlarge thereby your screen space by the factor 20. Switch between virtual pages quickly and easily with keyboard shortcuts or the mouse.
