Javier Paz began his foreign exchange career as a currency strategist for BankBoston (currently part of Bank of America) in the year 2000. In that role, he provided daily fundamental analysis about Latin America to an audience of institutional investors, corporate finance officials and members of governments. He later formed FXBriefing, a boutique research firm serving the same audience, where he was able to develop his first forecasting models combining fundamental factors with statistical analysis. In the year 2005, he joined Interbank FX to launch what would become the institutional sales department. This very successful team of 15 managed several hundred introducing broker and money manager relationships and accounted for much of the growth of this firm that was recognized by INC magazine in their top 50 for 2007. In July 2007, Mr. Paz left Interbank FX to launch ForexDatasource.com and realize his goal of focusing on various types of research and developing tools to help Forex traders make better choices. He is the creator of the FX Hound technology, the broker dealer ranking methodology, and of forecasting models such as the Fundamental Market Value (FMV) of currencies. His work appears regularly in well known media companies, such as e-Forex magazine, ForexFactory.com and FXstreet.com.
