Euro broke through long−term resistance at 0.8695 began a strong bullish trend−line

Varengold Wertpapierhandelsbank AG − Having the EUR/GBP traded in a trend−less zigzag movement during July it broke through its long−term resistance at 0.8695 and began trading close to a strong bullish trend−line. At the moment it seems that the currency pair is in a short recovery near the first pivot resistance at 0.8793. Though the Momentum indicator starts rising again and may suggests that at least at the trend−line the bulls will be back and boost the trend.

The pound is currently consolidating near the lows of 1.6150 by Swiss e Trade AG

Having lost more ground against the dollar yesterday, the pound is currently consolidating near the lows of 1.6150 and right now priced at 1.6205.

US economic indicators - GDP growth rate could be revised to –1.5% in Q2 by BHF−Bank

The advance estimate of Q2 GDP showed that the pace of contraction slowed from an annualised –6.4% to –1.0% qoq: although consumer spending and inventories had a negative impact, net exports and government purchases contributed positively, and the decline in corporate and residential investment was less marked than in Q1.
