GBP/USD: Retreating from this month's high at 1.6664
Mizuho Corporate Bank − Retreating from this month's high at 1.6664 in what those who have missed Cable's rally (and there are an awful lot of them) are hoping is a ‘double top'. A good rule of thumb when one has missed a big move is to buy a portion now, at any price, and hope for an improvement on the second instalment, not to hold out and hope – and maybe miss the boat again
EUR/USD is in a broad consolidation, after bottoming at 1.2331 by Ace Trader
As expected, the pair broke through 1.3944 "trigger" support and after brief retest of the 1.4040 resistance in Friday, the downtrend is renewed for 1.3803, en route to 1.3720 and 1.35+.
USD/JPY: Market reaching the 97.80 support for today by Swiss e Trade AG
An undecided market developed in late Asian and early European trading for the dollar against the yen, resulting in a narrow sideways trend between 98.50 and 98.20.

Friday Notes - NAHB housing market index pessimism still rules among house builders by UniCredit Group
Home builders still see declining demand for new houses, but the degree of pessimism they express is easing somewhat. The implication is the overall business recession, which was presaged by the contraction in residential construction, will come to an end long before the housing market bottoms out.

DATA SNAP: Record Drop In Euro−Zone Employment During 1Q (Dow Jones)
The number of people in work in the 16 countries that use the euro fell by 1.2 million during the first three months of 2009, the largest decline since records began in 1991, data showed Monday.
