Daily Trading Forecast − USD Index Meets Support

Swiss e Trade AG − The trade−weighted Dollar−Index, which provides the best indicator for the dollar‘s future direction, seems to have found some firmer footing after its fall for the last 20 days.
Cable is hovering above its longer−term support area at 1.5750 in early European trading, right now priced at 1.5785. We expect lower prices in today's trading, reaching levels around 1.5700, while the upside is limited at 1.5830.

Support levels at 1.3950−70 are breached by FXGreece

Today starts negative for euro after yesterday's bank holiday and first important support levels at 1.3950−70 are breached. A possible reversal candle formation in the daily chart would indicate that the rise from April lows is completed and lower levels will be back into focus.

US economic indicators - Consumer confidence indicators (May): still at low levels despite improvement by BHF−Bank

Despite the ongoing deterioration on the labour market, the Conference Board's consumer confidence rose by 12.3 points to 39.2 in April. But the indicator remained very low compared to the University of Michigan's (UMI) consumer sentiment, and we thus forecast that consumer confidence will have increased further, albeit only slightly, to about 42.0 in May.
