GBPUSD: Weakening With The 1.3504 Level In Focus

FXTechstrategy − As declines through its Feb 02'09 low at 1.4052 highlighted in our weekly analysis has come to pass and the pair was seen trading to as low as 1.3743 on Monday, threats of further weakness are now expected. With that said, such downside pressures will aim at its key support level residing at the 1.3504 level where an eventual break should resume its longer term downtrend towards the 1.2856 level, its Sept'85 low.

European markets pick up; Euro stalls and Pound attempts recovery by FXstreet.com

The Euro has found strong resistance at 1.2727 on its rally from 1.2579 (Mar 9 high). After several attempts to break it, 1.2727 has remained intact. Nevertheless, while above 1.2600, the pair remains in a bullish trading configuration from 1.2455 (Mar 3 low)

The University of Michigan's (UMI) consumer sentiment plunged by almost 5 points in February, mainly due to expectations having worsened. As the latest weekly ABC consumer comfort index fell back somewhat, we expect UMI's preliminary March consumer sentiment to have declined too, albeit only slightly, to 55.5.
