The pair is still pushing to the downside, and attempting to break under the1.3000 level, addressing to next support zone @ 1.2950. Once clear, next supports will be at 1.2910, 1.2863 and then the zone @ 1.2825, yesterday's minimum. Resistances from actual price will be at 1.3036, 1.3068 and finally the zone @ 1.3115 a daily descendant trend line.

(Swiss e Trade AG) − The dollar was extremely volatile against the aen before the BoJ released their monetary stance, falling by 300 pips to 87.20 yesterday, but recovered quickly as the BoJ left the interest rate unchanged. The market is currently trading around the 89.00 level, near resistance at 89.50, which we see being tested today.

Trading the given event risk may not be as clear cut as some of our other trades as market participants expect spending to falter, but nevertheless, a better than expected sales report would certainly set the stage for a long Canadian dollar trade.

Trading News Report - USD/CAD: Trading the Canada Retail Sales Report by FXCM
Domestic demands in Canada are expected to weaken further as economists forecast retail spending in November to drop another 2.0% following the 0.9% contraction in the previous month. The BoC business survey for the fourth quarter showed that 57% of the firms polled anticipate private spending to weaken further this year.
