Daily Analysis − The Sterling trades at a record low versus the Euro by Finotec Group Inc.
The British pound traded near a record low against the euro as an industry report showed U.K. home sales dropped last month to the lowest level in at least three decades, adding to evidence the economy is in a recession. The sterling slid yesterday to 82.09 pence per euro, the weakest since the debut of the single currency in 1999.

Market hit 1.1804 high yesterday. Further advance may open the way to 1.1895 October 2007 high and strong resistance. Strong resistance holds 1.1780. On the downside, renewed weakness below 1.1203 Friday low would undermine the current uptrend and reverse through 1.0692 22nd September low and down to 1.0500 and 1.0375.

Trading near good support now, cable is currently priced at 1.5599. We do not see much more downside risk in today's trading, perhaps only the 1.5560 level being tested. An upside move could emerge soon, bringing cable to 1.5750 resistance.
