Weekly Technical Strategist − EURUSD: Weakens For A Third Week In A Row, Looks To Hold Below Its MT Rising Trendline by FXTechstrategy
A third−week of downside losses has seen the pair maintaining its decline off the 1.6038, its YTD high and breaking marginally below its MT rising trendline originating from its August 2007 low at 1.3361 the past week. Further weakness is likely while price and weekly studies continue to head lower suggesting that the 1.5468 low, its Jun 23'08 low will be aimed at ahead of its range bottom at 1.5304/1.5285 zone (May/Jun'08 lows).

Friday Notes - Personal Income & Outlays by HVB Group
Tax rebates dramatically boosted income in May, and only the tail end of the rebate checks went out in June. Otherwise, wages and salaries were up moderately, leaving total personal income roughly unchanged. Spending continued to benefit from the fiscal injection, although less than half was spent. Consumers cut purchases of autos but managed to do a lot of shopping at malls.

Swiss PMI edges down in July (FXstreet.com)
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) − Swiss Purchasing Managers' Index has declined in July to a level below the long –term average of 54.5 points, nevertheless, the final reading has been better than expected, according to figures released by the Swiss Association for Materials Management and Purchasing (SVME) and Credit Suisse.
