Daily Forex News − Forex − Dollar rallied after Fed hawkish comment and buoyant US stocks by ACM − Advanced Currency Markets

Market failed to overtop 1.5800 early this week. On downside, yesterday return below 1.5600 would open the way down to 1.5000 psychological key level before 1.4500 pivot point. Support holds 1.5485 Thursday low. Initial resistance holds 1.5819 Tuesday high. A return in previous 1.5600−1.5800 consolidation range would reopen the way up to 1.6000 Pivot point resistance ahead of key resistance 1.6200 market target.

US economic indicators - PCE core deflator will probably only have gone up slightly in April by BHF−Bank

We expect the PCE core deflator to have increased by 0.1% mom only in April, the same moderate rate as core CPI. The annual rate could have remained at 2.1%, still above the Fed's comfort zone.

DATA SNAP: Oil Surge Pushes Euro−Zone May CPI To 3.6% On Yr (Dow Jones)

Consumer prices in the euro zone re−accelerated in May, probably pushed higher by the recent surge in global oil prices. The flash estimate of the annual rate of euro−zone inflation was 3.6% in May, Eurostat data showed Friday, ahead of expectations of 3.5%. It was 3.3% in April.
