Daily Forex News Dollar fell on weak US data and Mr. Trichet's comments by ACM − Advanced Currency Markets

The Dollar fell for a second straight session on Wednesday, weighed down by surprisingly weak US durable goods orders and remarks by ECB chief Jean−Claude Trichet that Euro−zone rates were at the right level. Analysts said Trichet's comments, with news that German and French business confidence unexpectedly improved in March, dampened expectation of a soon ECB interest rate cut.

US economic indicators - Consumer confidence indicators are likely to deteriorate further in March by BHF−Bank

We forecast that the final estimate for Q4 GDP will confirm the growth rate at 0.6% qoq. For the whole of 2007, the increase in real GDP slowed from 2.9% to 2.2% yoy, and given the current elevated recession risk, the average growth rate is likely to fall to below 1% this year.

UK Q4 business investment revised up to show 1.8 pct rise vs 0.5 pct fall UPDATE (Thomson Financial News)

UK business investment during the fourth quarter was much stronger than previously estimated, official figures showed. The Office for National Statistics said business investment in the fourth quarter rose by 1.8 pct quarter−on−quarter, compared to the previous estimate showing a 0.5 pct fall.
