Daily Analysis − Dollar slides as Fed cuts rates by 75 basis points /url] by Finotec Group Inc.
The dollar fell against the Euro, losing most of yesterday's gains, as the US Federal Reserve cut borrowing rates by 75 basis points to 2.25%. The FOMC statement indicated the Fed are mainly concerned about inflation and expects the financial markets to remain under considerable stress. Euro gains were supported by speculation the worst U.S. housing slump in twenty five years will amass credit−market losses.

Ahead of the Bell: Oil Inventory (Thomson Financial News)
Government data released Wednesday is forecast to show that crude−oil inventories rose last week for the second straight period. The Energy Department's forecasting arm, the Energy Information Administration, publishes petroleum inventory data for the week ended March 14 at 10:30 a.m. EDT. Analysts expect oil stockpiles grew last week by 2.1 million barrels, according to a survey by Dow Jones Newswires. For the week ended March 7, crude−oil inventories rose by 6.2 million barrels, or 2 percent, to 311.6 million barrels, which were 2.8 percent below year−ago levels.

Euro zone Jan trade deficit 10.7 bln eur vs deficit 4.1 bln in Dec (Thomson Financial News)
The euro zone posted a provisional unadjusted trade deficit of 10.7 bln eur in January compared with a revised deficit of 4.1 bln in December, EU statistics office Eurostat said.

DATA SNAP: UK Unemployment Falls Again But Below Expectations (Dow Jones)
U.K. unemployment fell for the 17th month running in February, but the decline in the widely watched claimant count was the smallest since October 2006. The number of people claiming benefits dropped 2,800 in February to its lowest level since June 1975.
