Daily Forex News − Dollar stands still at record low prices ahead of FOMC deicision by ACM − Advanced Currency Markets

It remains to be seen whether the Federal Reserve's attempt to increase liquidity in the market will have any effect on investor sentiment. The market awaits the FOMC rate decision which is now broadly expected to be a 100bp cut, revised from 75bp. The dollar has been relatively stable within the past 24 hours. EURUSD trades now at 1.5790, down from its 1.5904 high early Monday morning.

US economic indicators - The FOMC is expected to cut the federal funds rate sharply again by BHF−Bank

Producer prices (PPI) rose sharply by 1.0% mom in January, particularly due to energy. Although average crude oil prices went up again significantly, oil prices in the relevant week including the 13th were only slightly higher than in the previous month.

Canadian consumer inflation moderates in February (FXstreet.com)

Consumer prices have moderated their yearly growing pace in February, going down to levels below 2.0% in year on year terms, as prices have enjoyed a lower pressure from gasoline prices, according to the latest report by Statscan.

DATA SNAP: UK Feb CPI Rises To +2.5% YY ; Less Than Expected (Dow Jones)

The U.K. consumer price index rose at its fastest annual pace since May 2007, at 2.5% in February, but the increase was slightly less than economists had expected. Meanwhile, the core inflation rate, excluding energy, food, alcohol and tobacco decelerated to a 1.2% annual rate, its lowest level since August 2006.
