KBC Alert − EUR= (1.4252) Approaching key Resistance area by KBC Bank
€ is trying to extend above the neckline of a Short Term Double Bottom (1.4243: see graph), with Key Resistance are of 1.4283/ .4293 not far off (historic high/ monthly channel top off 2005 low). In case of move to new highs, next levels would come in at 1.4333/ .4344 (weekly Bollinger top/ potential of a successful Double Bottom off 1.4243), ahead of 1.4366 (daily Starc top), where a pause would be expected.

US economic indicators - Manufacturing indices will probably indicate further weakness in October by BHF−Bank
After having fallen by 0.6% mom in August, the leading economic indicator is expected to have increased again in September, by 0.4% mom. Initial jobless claims, the stock market performance, real money supply and ISM supplier deliveries are all expected to have made significant positive contributions.

DATA SNAP: Euro−Zone Aug Trade Balance +EUR1.3B (Dow Jones)
Euro−zone export growth remained robust in August, despite the recent strength of the region's currency against the dollar. The 13 countries that share the euro had a trade surplus of EUR1.3 billion with the rest of the world in August, European statistics agency Eurostat said Thursday.

DATA SNAP: UK Sep Retail Sales Surge; Stores Cut Prices (Dow Jones)
The volume of retail sales surged to a three−year high in September as stores continued to slash prices in order to attract shoppers. Retail sales volumes grew 0.6% on the month and 6.3% on the year, the Office for National Statistics said Thursday, beating economists forecasts of a 0.3% monthly and a 5.7% annual increase.
