
CFTC approves approves changes requested by the NFA by FXstreet.com
NFA has received notice that the Commodity Futures Trading Commission has approved changes to NFA Financial Requirements Section 11 and the Interpretive Notice entitled "Forex Transactions." The amendments increase the minimum net capital requirement for Forex Dealer Members (FDMs) to $5,000,000.

Friday Notes - Ailing USD hurts sentiment by HVB Group
Was the Fed's bigger−than−expected rate cut sufficient to lift confidence among manufacturers? DATA SNAP: UK Aug Mortgage Lending +GBP8.5 Bln Vs +GBP8.9B (Dow Jones)
U.K. consumers' appetite for secured debt slipped amid still high interest rates in August as mortgage lending fell to an 18− month low. Total consumer lending growth slowed to GBP9.5 billion in August from a revised GBP10.0 billion in July, figures from the Bank of England showed Monday. The sharpness of the slowdown came as a surprise. Economists were expecting a gain of GBP9.9 billion.

Euro Zone's purchasing Managers index has decreased to 53.2 in September from 54.3 in August, and the decrease has been broad based among countries as most of them have posted declines on a monthly basis.
