Friday Notes - The US growth motor is not stalling by HVB Group
A benign CPI report is likely. Gasoline prices were flat, but food prices were up again. Continued moderation of auto prices will help offset price increases in various services categories, especially medical care and owner equivalent rents.

BOE – Major Banks are well capitalized (FXstreet.com)
The European major banks are well capitalized and they still make strong profits, and the consequences of the financial crisis are still unclear, according to the minutes of the latest BOE meeting. The MPC affirms that the recent crisis does not have necessarily to translate into an economical slowdown, as it is mainly a matter of interbank markets, or an issue between banks and other financial institutions.
