In upward direction resistance is 2.0005, followed by 2.0162, which is 62.3% correction of the drop from the top 2.0361 to last night's bottom 1.9877. Next resistance is the top from 9 August 2.0394, Support is 1.9818, which is 75.5% correction of the climb 1.9656 − 2.0393.

US economic indicators - FOMC is likely to lower the fed funds rate for the first time since June 2003 by BHF−Bank

The latter were unexpected since gasoline prices at the retail level had corrected downwards. As they continued to decline, we expect producer prices to have fallen by 0.3% mom in August, just like import prices.

DATA SNAP: UK Aug CPI Falls To Lowest Annual Rate For 30 Mos (Dow Jones)

U.K. consumer price inflation fell to its lowest annual rate for thirty months in August, casting further doubt on the need for any more interest rate hikes from the Bank of England this autumn.
