break below 117.20, previous week"s low, negated bullish outside week opening fresh downside extn for the pair. The longer−term recovery structure has now been negated with the latest sharp setbacks taking out key trend−low support by 115.15 today triggering latest bout of selling towards 112.00. Dailies now severley oversold.

Friday Notes - Fear of a credit crunch intensifies by HVB Group
It will surprise no one if the first round of polling for the U of Michigan survey exposes a big drop in consumer sentiment. That is already the message of the daily Rasmussen consumer index, a relatively new but useful barometer of confidence. The reason is obvious: the turbulent stock market. Steadier gasoline prices probably kept the U of Michigan index from plunging all the way to June's depressed level, however.

German PPI, lower than expected in July (FXstreet.com)
Prices at producer level have risen lower than expected in July, due to a decrease in energy prices, according to the monthly report released by the German Statistics Office.
