Forex Daily Analysis - 19/07/'07 - USD - Will a new all time record low be set today? by ForexYard

The daily chart is bearish as the Slow Stochastic crossed at 86 and also RSI 80 implying on the continuation of the current trend and will test the 1.3775 Fibonacci 76.4% level. On the 4 H chart a bullish flag is establishing however an upcoming reversal is not yet expected and the bears will stay in the picture for a while.

Ahead of the Bell: Philadelphia Fed (Thomson Financial News)

The Philadelphia Federal Reserve's July manufacturing index is expected to show that regional growth slowed in July, though from an unexpectedly high reading in June. The Philly Fed is forecast to report Thursday its manufacturing index fell to 12 in July, down from 18 in June, according to a consensus estimate of Wall Street economists surveyed by Thomson/IFR.

DATA SNAP: UK PSNB Reaches Highest Level Ever Seen In June-2 (Dow Jones)

The public-sector net cash requirement was GBP10.3 billion in June, compared with GBP12.9 billion in the same month a year ago. A Dow Jones Newswires survey of economists had forecast a requirement of GBP12.5 billion. ONS said the PSNCR was lower than expected in June because the government received proceeds of GBP2.3 billion in the month from the sale of some of its shares.

Retail sales in the UK declined by more than expected to 0.2% m/m and 3.4% y/y from prior readings of 0.4% and 3.9% respectively. Public finances rose by less than expected to £10.3B, while net borrowing declined by less than expected to £7.4B.
