Forex Daily Analysis - ECB President Trichet to speak today by ForexYard
Yesterday, the greenback went on a downward freefall as it reached a new record low against the EUR and the sterling. The USD slipped to 1.3785 against the EUR, which is its lowest level against the European currency since it's debut in 1999, before stabilizing at the 1.3735 mark.

Japan consumer confidence falls to 30-month low in June - UPDATE (Thomson Financial News)
Japan's consumer confidence fell to its lowest level in two and a half years last month with more consumers convinced economic conditions have worsened, data from the Cabinet Office showed Wednesday. The consumer confidence index dropped to 45.0 in June from 47.3 in May, down for the second straight month, the agency said.
