EUR/USD

Global FX Daily - U.S. Edition - EUR stronger in Europe by Mellon Foreign Exchange

EUR-USD has also stabilised. In fact the EUR has been strong across the board this morning, with EUR-USD nudging above resistance at 1.3485. If this can be sustained in early North American trading there is room up towards the 1.3530-50 area, but major gains look unlikely.

DATA SNAP: Euro-Zone June Inflation Rate Unch At +1.9% On Yr (Dow Jones)

The annual rate of consumer-price inflation in the 13 countries that share the euro was unchanged at 1.9% in June, and in line with the European Central Bank's target of price stability, preliminary data from the European Union's statistics office showed Friday.

DATA SNAP: UK 1Q Annual GDP +3.0%; Savings Ratio Plummets (Dow Jones)

The U.K. economy grew at a slightly faster rate in the first quarter of the year than was previously estimated, but the household saving ratio dropped to its lowest level in almost half a century, data from the Office for National Statistics showed Friday. Gross domestic product expanded an unrevised 0.7% on the quarter in January-March.
