Weekly Technical Commentary - We continue just below the 1998 equivalent high at 164.00 by Mizuho Corporate Bank
Very difficult as we continue just below the 1998 equivalent high at 164.00, a key long term chart level. Other Yen crosses are also at key levels, for example AUD/JPY at 100.00. The Yen Crosses are also surprisingly well bid considering where they are trading. The whole thing is yet another example of the ‘carry trade'. This can be seen in all Yen crosses,.

DATA SNAP: UK's April PSNB Lower Than Expected (Dow Jones)
The U.K. government started the new fiscal year with lower net borrowing than expected in April, figures from the Office for National Statistics showed Monday. The public sector borrowed GBP1.1 billion in April, ONS said, below expectations from economists surveyed by Dow Jones Newswires for a deficit of GBP1.5 billion.
