Daily Outlook - EUR/USD: Long position from1.3130 by Karoll
The idea that the fall started from 1.3258 is impulsive is no more favored after the lack of an acceleration of the fall. This makes me think that the said movement is not impulsive but corrective. The big problem is if this potential correction is over at 1.3071 or we will see one more fall below the said level before its end.

Durable goods orders plunged 7.8% in January. Non-durables probably showed modest growth. Since non-durables account for less than half the total, the net result will be a drop in overall factory orders that will reverse the Nov-Dec 2006 increases.

European Market Update - Euro-Zone Retail Sales Fall to 19-Month Low by Trade The News
Euro-Zone retail sales fell to their lowest level since April of 2005 during the month of January after Germany implemented its VAT hike. While retail sales were lower, preliminary fourth quarter GDP was in line with expectations at 0.9% q/q, and 3.3% y/y, with y/y growth remaining at a six-year high.
