FOREX INFORMER

The Week Ahead

It's BoJ time! by FXstreet.com

After Europe and the UK, next on interest rates is Japan. The Bank of Japan interest rate decision comes amidst a relatively quiet week in terms of economic releases. Let's review them.

On Monday, UK's PPI and Germany's Industrial Production are the main stories of the morning. The US is not providing with any remarkable data on the day.

On Tuesday, there are no major economic events on schedule.

On Wednesday, the BoJ policy meeting starts. Also from Japan, consumer confidence figures. Nothing else for that day.

On Thursday, the BoJ releases its interest rate decision. Also from Japan, industrial production figures will be shown. In Europe, Euro-Zon'es GDP and industrial production data should caught many investors' attention. In the US, the trade balance figures are the main economic story, a big event that should cause some market volatility.

Finally, on Friday, it's the US providing us with the big economic stories in a packed session, with Import Price Index figures, Consumer Confidence and Business inventories data acting as the perfect colleagues for the big story of the day: the release of the retail sales figures.
