Forex: USD/JPY: Dollar breaks below 95.95 support, at 5−week low

CMS Forex − The Dollar continues losing ground against the Yen in the moments ahead of the Euroopean markets opening; USD/JPY as lost the 95.95 support zone and drops to levels at the 95.65/40 area.
Below 95.65/40 (Mar 12 lows), next support level could lie at 94.15 (Mar 20 low) and if the Dollar gets below there, next could be 93.55 (Mar19 low). On the upside the Euro could find resistance at the 96.40/50 level and above here, 96.90 and 97.60.

Very disappointing as we drop back through the thinnest point of the Ichimoku ‘cloud'. Expect several moves either side of 1.3100 this week.
Strategy: Attempt small longs at 1.3015; stop below 1.2885. Add to longs on a sustained break above 1.3305 for 1.3400 short term and 1.3600 further out.

US economic indicators - Consumer confidence (Mar): rising noticeably, albeit still at depressed level by BHF−Bank

At 26.0, the Conference Board's consumer confidence stabilised at a level close to its record low in March. Expectations improved slightly, whereas the current assessment declined further due to the rapidly rising level of unemployment. However, despite the unfavourable labour market situation, we forecast that consumer confidence will have risen to about 33.0 in Apri.

Japanese retail sales fell 3.9% in March from a year earlier, the government said Tuesday, highlighting consumers' reluctance to shop due primarily to concerns over job security.
