China GDP slowing

Easy Forex − The Euro (EUR) found support in the low 1.31's as the market responded negatively to the slowing Chinese GDP Q1 at 6.1% y/y. The rebound from these levels came as EUR/JPY buying emerged after JP Morgan's results. CPI (Mar) came out at 0.6% as forecasted. Overall the EUR/USD traded with a low of 1.3128 and a high of 1.3267 before closing at 1.3180. Looking ahead, EU Trade (Feb) forecast at −5.5bn vs. −10.5 bn previously.

GBP/USD falls 0.80% today to tests 1.4800 level by CMS Forex

GBP/USD has fallen 0.80% from today's opening price at 1.4929, to break 1.4850 support and test 1.4800 level. Currently the pair is trading around 1.4840/50.

EMU economic indicators - Trade balance: Probably improved by BHF−Bank

EMU industrial production is likely to have continued decreasing in February, as the corresponding national figures did. Following its seasonal pattern, the EMU trade balance will probably have improved in February, just like the corresponding German figure.

Japan Govt: Consumer Sentiment Index 28.9 Mar Vs 26.7 Feb (Dow Jones)

Japan's consumer sentiment index improved for the third straight month in March, the government said Friday, yet the near−record−low level suggests consumers are still reluctant to spend. The Cabinet Office's consumer confidence survey index, which measures consumers' economic outlook for the coming six months, rose by 2.2 points to 28.9, compared with 26.7 in February, according to the government's data.
