
The Day Job Trader: Last Hooray For GBP/USD? by Ryan O'Keefe
GBP/USD looks a little sickly to me headed into tonight's Asian trading session. I'm not convinced the pair will hold $1.50 but I'm also not willing to step in front of this trend. The cross pair GBP/JPY has a clearer technical picture in my opinion so I thought I'd focus on it tonight.

Asian markets rose, China slowest growth in decade, USD rise slightly against majors
FXstreet.com − Asian stocks markets have risen today after fast finish pace on Wall Street yesterday and China's GDP is seeing in a confidence view despite the lowest pace in a decade. GBP/USD has fallen below 1.5000 level, EUR/USD is trading below 1.3200, USD/JPY is testing the 98.85 support level and USD/CHF
GBP: Buy at 1.4865; stop below 1.4550 by Mizuho Corporate Bank
Hovering cautiously under the psychological level at 1.5000 and could do with a bit of help from other major currencies to trade through here.

Not much change from previous outlook, the pair is consolidating around the 99.40 zone, and seems unable to confirm a break above.

EMU economic indicators - EMU industrial production (February): down by BHF−Bank
EMU industrial production is likely to have continued decreasing in February, as the corresponding national figures did. Following its seasonal pattern, the EMU trade balance will probably have improved in February, just like the corresponding German figure.

March Fed's Beige Book Summary (FXstreet.com)
A U.S. Federal Reserve survey released Wednesday was slightly more optimistic than last month, showing that the pace of economic decline may be starting to moderate in some parts of the country. Reports from the 12 regional Fed banks show that, in general, the recession deepened further through early April. All districts reported downward pressure on prices and troubled labor markets.
