Daily Market Commentary − The dollar exploded higher very early on Friday by Global Forex Trading

Dollar/yen surged to an eight−month high on Friday and my model remains long. The pair slipped in early trading but the Gann pivot at 110.35 still rules and this will give you direction this week as well. Strong support is now pegged at 109.15 from a 50−point pivot, which targets 109.65 and 108.65. Strong support follows at 107.95 from a 50−point pivot, which targets 107.45 and 108.45.

Weekly Focus - Focus shifting back to growth by Danske Bank A/S

If BoE Governor Mervyn King had not already gone grey, the recent uncomfortably high inflation figures and worrying growth outlook would have done the trick. CPI inflation is expected to rise to 5%, and a flurry of gloomy economic data in recent months has highlighted that the UK economy is weakening on all fronts

Australia's cenbank sees scope for lower interest rates (Thomson Financial News)

Australia's central bank on Monday said the economy looked to be slowing enough to significantly reduce inflation over time, providing growing scope to ease interest rates from 12−year highs. The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) gave little guidance on when it might cut rates but did warn that the deteriorating outlook for the world economy, made worse by the global credit squeeze, could be a serious risk to the economy at home.
