Forex Technical Analysis − EUR/USD: (1.5718) Double top off 1.5782 by KBC Bank

Drop from 1.6040 broke below daily channel bottom off 1.5302 and Double Top off 1.5782 (see graph): 1st Support area at 1.5685 (reaction low hourly), with next levels at 1.5627/ .5617 (current reaction low off 1.6040/ daily envelope bottom), ahead of 1.5611/ .5609 (July 07 low/ daily Bollinger bottom), ahead of 1.5585/ .5573 (1st C wave off 1.6040 + weekly envelope bottom/ 61.8% 1.5285 to 1.6040): tough on 1st attempts.

The recent correction in the oil price will probably have already prevented a further strong rise in energy prices in the July survey. After the very strong rise in consumer prices in the same month of the previous year, we expect the inflation rate to moderate appreciably. The core rate (ex energy and food) should also dip clearly below the 2% mark.
