Daily Market Commentary − The dollar basically consolidated against the majors on Wednesday by Global Forex Trading
Sterling/dollar tumbled further on Wednesday to the lowest level since May 20. Only if 1.9490 breaks will cable see more weakness. Below this level, support is at 1.9470. Distant support is now seen at 1.9365. Immediate resistance is pegged at 1.9550. The next level is 1.9620.Above 1.9690 there is a distant ceiling at 1.9770.

DATA SNAP: Australia Apr Trade Deficit A$957M (Dow Jones)
Australia's seasonally adjusted balance on trade in goods and services narrowed to a deficit of A$957 million in April from a deficit of A$2.55 billion in March, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said Thursday. The figure is lower than analysts' expectations of a deficit of A$1.7 billion.

New Zealand central bank leaves rates on hold, warns of significant slowdown (Thomson Financial News)
The Reserve Bank of New Zealand said on Thursday that its policymakers have decided to leave its overnight cash rate (OCR) at 8.25 percent, but warned of a significant slowdown in the economy which was likely to lead to an easing in rates later in the year.
