Daily Recommended Trades − EURUSD daily outlook − Wednesday 04.16.2008 by E−Forex

The dollar recovered on yesterday and the Euro has failed to hold above the 1.5800 support level, testing support into the mid 1.57 zone. Although the Euro has recovered and it is now trading around 1.5830, the short term sentiment is slightly mixed as we've seen on yesterday that there's still enough room on the downside.

EMU economic indicators - German ZEW economic sentiment is not likely to have continued improving in April by BHF−Bank

HICP inflation in the euro area will probably be confirmed at 3.5% yoy for March. Given the results in the Länder, German consumer price inflation in March is expected to be confirmed at 3.1 % yoy and 0.5 % mom. Final HICP inflation in the eurozone is likely to be confirmed at 3.5 % year−on−year in March, i.e. 0.9 % month−on−month.

Australia's Westpac February leading index rises 3.3 percent, below trend (Thomson Financial News)

The annualized growth rate of Australia's Westpac−Melbourne Institute leading index of economic activity slowed to 3.3 percent in February from 4.1 percent in January, Westpac said Wednesday. The annualized growth rate of the leading index, which indicates the likely pace of economic activity 3−9 months into the future, fell for the third month in a row and is well below its longer−term trend rate of 4.1 percent.

Ahead of the Bell: Builder Sentiment (Thomson Financial News)

A measurement of housing developers' sentiment about the U.S. housing market is expected to hold steady barely above a record low. The National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo housing market index for February is scheduled to be released Tuesday at 1 p.m. EDT. The report reflects a survey of about 400 residential developers nationwide, tracking builders' perceptions of current market conditions and expectations for home sales over the next six months.
