Daily Forex Technical Report − Aussie Retreats after RBA Hike; BOC Cut Expected by ActionForex.com

AUD/USD's correction from 0.9496 resumes today and dives to as low as 0.9263, touching mentioned short term rising channel support (now at 0.9266). Further correction could still be seen to below the channel support. Though downside is still expected to be contained above 0.9100 cluster support (38.2% retracement of 0.8873 to 0.9496 at 0.9111 and 38.2% retracement of 0.8512 to 0.9496 at 0.9120) and bring rally resumption. On the upside, above 0.9420 resistance will suggest that correction has likely completed.

Asia Market Update - Reserve Bank of Australia signals rate hikes coming to an end by Trade The News

The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) hiked interest rates by 25bps to 7.25%, as widely expected, but said that rate hikes since mid 2007 have been "substantial". The RBA said there was some tentative evidence that household demand was moderating, but the extent was uncertain.
