Daily Recommended Trades − The Euro rallied on yesterday by E−Forex
The Euro rallied on yesterday and got past the 1.4800 then 1.4820 resistance levels setting highs at 1.4905 due to Fed's rate cut by half point. Support starts at 1.4850 backed by 1.4820, 1.4780 and 1.4750. Resistance starts at 1.4920 followed by 1.4965 and 1.5. Daily sentiment is bullish and will remain intact while the Euro holds above the 1.4750 mark.

In January, inflation will probably move slightly higher to 3.2%, though we see risks tilted toward an unchanged reading. Food and energy will put upward pressure on overall inflation, while we have penciled in a decline in core inflation as the favorable base effect related to the German VAT hike kicks in.

DATA SNAP: UK January House Prices −0.1% MM, +4.2% YY (Dow Jones)
U.K. house prices fell for the third straight month in January while the year−on−year gain was the lowest since December 2005, the Nationwide Building Society said Thursday. According to the mortgage lender, house prices were down a seasonally adjusted 0.1% from December.

German retail sales fell in December, contrary to expectations, data from the Federal Statistics Office showed Thursday. Retail sales fell by 0.1% on the month, according to seasonally adjusted data, and were down by 6.9% on the year.

Japan December Housing Starts Down 19.2% On Year (Dow Jones)
Japanese housing starts fell 19.2% in December from a year earlier to 87,214 units, marking the sixth straight month of double−digit declines, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport said Thursday. The result was worse than the 18.2% drop forecast by economists surveyed by Dow Jones/Nikkei.
