Daily Market Commentary − The dollar fell versus the European currencies on Monday by Global Forex Trading
Dollar/Swiss on Monday gave back Friday's gains. The pair remains oversold, so some more strength is likely here. Immediate support comes at 1.0873. A pivot low is at 1.0840. A distant support follows at 1.0760. Initial resistance comes at 1.0935. Above 1.1030, distant resistance is now seen at 1.1135.

Swiss Trade surplus falls in December on weaker exports (FXstreet.com)
A decline in exports in December has weighed the Swiss trade surplus to a CHF198 million , according to data released by the Swiss Customs office. Exports declined 3.4% in real terms to 14.09 billion, while imports fell1.9% to CHF13.90 billion.

Japan's Dec Jobless Rate 3.8%; Market Expected 3.9% (Dow Jones)
Japan's jobless rate was unchanged at 3.8% from a month earlier, the government said Tuesday. The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said the total number of jobless was down 130,000 on year, for the 25th consecutive month of decline.

Japan Dec All Household Spending Up 2.2% On Year (Dow Jones)
Japan's overall household spending rose 2.2% in December in real terms from a year earlier, the government said Tuesday. The rise was much better than a 0.2% decline forecast expected by economists surveyed by Dow Jones and Nikkei. It was the first rise in the two months. In November, the figure was down 0.6% after rising 0.6% in October.
