Daily Market Commentary − The dollar ended little changed on Wednesday after an exceptionally volatile day by Global Forex Trading
Dollar/yen surged from an over 2 ½−year low on Wednesday after extremely volatile trading. Mixed to higher trading is now favored. Above 104/35, strong resistance comes at 107.95 from a 50−point pivot that targets 107.45 and 108.45. Distant resistance is at 109.65. Immediate support remains at 106.35. Strong support follows at 105.50 from a 50−point pivot, which targets 115.00 and 116.00. Distant support lies at 104.25.

Japan's all−industries index falls 0.5 percent in November (Thomson Financial News)
Japan's all−industries index, which covers a broad range of economic activity including spending in the services sector, fell a seasonally adjusted 0.5 percent in November from October, hit by weak output, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said Thursday. The decline, the first in two months, followed a 1.2 percent increase in October.

NZealand central bank leaves interest rates unchanged (Thomson Financial News)
New Zealand's central bank left interest rates unchanged Thursday, saying the economy is in good shape despite recent global market turmoil and a slowdown in the US and Europe. Reserve Bank of New Zealand governor Alan Bollard left the official cash rate on hold at 8.25 percent, one of the highest official rates in the developed world.
