Daily Forex Outlook − BoJ minutes show concern of U.S. economic slowdown. Durable Good due out by Easy Forex
The Euro (EUR) gained versus the green back on a broadly weaker currency. With EU markets closed for the holiday period, the Euro traded on the back of other currencies. Overall the EURUSD traded with a low of 1.4392 and a high of 1.4506 before closing the day at 1.4489 in the New York session.

Japan housing starts fall 27 percent in November on tighter building rules (Thomson Financial News)
Housing starts in Japan fell 27 percent to 84,252 units in November from a year earlier as tighter safety rules introduced in June continued to discourage construction companies, data from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport showed Thursday. The fall was a bit deeper than the 26.7 percent decline projected by economists but was slower compared to the previous months.
