Forex Technical Analysis − EUR/USD:(1.4017) Correction off 1.4283 puts pair below channel off 1.3550 by KBC Bank
Drop from 1.4283 puts the pair currently back in the Long Term daily channel off 2005 low (top at 1.4054 today) and below channel off 1.3550 (see graph).
1st Support area at 1.4005 (break−up hourly), with next levels at 1.3991/ .3987 (daily envelope bottom/ break−up daily Sept 19), ahead of 1.3956/ .48

Friday Notes - Secular USD downward trend to continue by HVB Group
Industrial production has peaked. The high growth rates posted last year will undoubtedly not be repeated. But order books remain filled. Accordingly, we expect the weak monthly dynamic in the two preceding months to be followed by a robust m−o−m increase again for August.

UPDATE: German Aug Trade Surplus Narrows To EUR14.1 Bln (Dow Jones)
Germany's trade and current account surpluses in August were narrower than expected, data from the Federal Statistics Office showed Tuesday. The trade surplus in Germany, Europe's largest economy, totaled EUR14.1 billion, compared with EUR17.9 billion in July.

Australian Sep Business Conditions Down 3 Pts At +16 − NAB (Dow Jones)
Australian business conditions eased for the first time in 2007 in September as businesses reported a pullback from record conditions in August and confidence softened. An index measuring business conditions fell 3 points to +16 in September, easing from a record high of +19 in August, National Australia Bank said in its monthly business survey. Business confidence fell 3 index points to +7 in September, its lowest reading since January, the survey said.
