Friday Notes - The US growth motor is not stalling by HVB Group
After the marked slowdown seen in July, we expect the CPI to rise 0.4% m−o−m, keeping inflation stable at 1.9% in August. Core inflation is also likely to remain tame, unchanged at 1.7%.

Swiss industrial production increases in the second quarter (FXstreet.com)
Industrial production seems to have recovered in Switzerland, posting a 6.7% increase on the quarter and a 9.8% gain since the same period last year, according to the Swiss statistics office.

Japan's tertiary index, which measures spending in the services sector, dropped 0.5 percent in July from June, the third fall in seven months, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said Tuesday, citing preliminary data.
