Daily Analysis − Euro Falls against the Dollar as Investors Lower Expectations for an ECB Rate Hike by Finotec Group Inc.

Sructure for the pair looking heavy with deeper setbacks seen over the coming days. Daily techs reveal a double top that has just triggered Monday with the break below the July 30 low by 1.3608. A medium−term top by 1.3853 now looks to be firmly in place with projected setbacks now seen towards a measured 1.3370.

Friday Notes - Fear of a credit crunch intensifies by HVB Group

We expect eurozone GDP growth to have edged a tad down in Q2 2007. Indeed, construction activity, exceptionally strong in the first quarter thanks to unusually favorable weather conditions, has likely been the main contributor to the marginal easing.

German GDP grows below expectations on the 2Q (FXstreet.com)

Economic growth seems to have slowed down in Germany during the second quarter of 2007, compared with the first months of the year, as investment in construction decreased, as the latest report by the German Statistics Office shows. GDP has grown 0.3% from April to June 2007, a figure sharply below the unrevised 0.5% growth posted in the first months of the year.

Japan June tertiary index up 0.1 pct from May, third rise in 6 months (Thomson Financial News)

Japan's tertiary index, which measures spending in the services sector, rose 0.1 percent in June from May, the third increase in six months, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said Tuesday, citing preliminary data. The index stood at 110.3 in June , slightly below February's 110.7, which was the highest level since January 1988. The rise in June followed a revised 0.1 percent fall in May.
