Technical Summary for Majors − Technical Summary for Majors by Windsor Brokers Ltd

Recovered to 1.3840,06 August high, from July's fall 1.3853/1.3609. Dropped shortly to 1.3721, this followed the fresh rise to 1.3826 on Wednesday. Subsequent weakness was exacerbated by rejection at Wed/Thur's 1.3826/17 highs as losses stream towards 1.3638/54.

Japan July Consumer Sentiment Index 44.4 Vs June 45.0 (Dow Jones)

Consumer sentiment in Japan worsened in July for the third straight month, the government said Friday. The index for the Cabinet Office's consumer confidence survey, which measures consumers' economic outlook for the coming six months, fell 0.6 point to 44.4 in July from June's reading of 45.0.

Japan's industrial output rises by revised 1.3 percent in June from May (Thomson Financial News)

Japan's industrial output rose by a seasonally adjusted 1.3 pct in June from May, a faster rise than the initial estimate of 1.2 percent, according to revised data released by the government Friday. The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's revised figures show shipments rose 1.1 percent in June. It had initially estimated a rise of 0.7 percent.
